histology can be a total pain to study for, but more than occasionally i am struck by the sheer beauty of some of the images. ok, i'll admit it, i'm a total sucker for arsty looking scientific images - they do make studying somehow more interesting. i think for some people knowing how prosaic some of these images are will obliterate the magic, but then again i think there is infinitely more wonderment in knowing that every one of us has such intricate modern artwork in our bodies! the mind boggles.

i played a lot of music in high school but it's gradually dwindled

as time and other interests crept in.

but listening to isabelle moretti play La Source

(a piece i've always aspired to play)

and also xavier de maistre's Clair de Lune- an absolute gem of a piece that i could play once upon a time

(albeit much more clumsily!) makes me want to practice for hours and hours.

i guess i'm happy to know that i'll always have music in my life.

As for the Swan Lake, it's my most favourite classical ballet to

listen/watch/play -

this version's lovely, though a word of warning

- there's some pretty loud background buzzing in this recording

so turn the volume low first!

sorry these are rather backdated, but please enjoy the neutral sheer lusciousness that was Fendi Spring 2010. i'd say these pieces are perfect with a few choice accessories for the effortless modern girl's cocktail party.

Hong Kong, I Love You.

here are some photos i took on my recent trip to Hong Kong. originally i had meant this blog to be a place to display my photography and artworks, but evidently i have been extremely lazy and unprolific in that respect - but there will be a few snippets here and there. these are small versions of the pictures which were taken with my trusty Pentax and 200ISO Fuji colour film. Hong Kong can be a charmingly photographic city, it's landscape is so dynamic and quite uniquely beautiful.
