if i could have lived in any era it would have to be the 1920s. either that or the hippie 1960s-70s. the excessive opulence and beautiful clothes are so classical, magical and glamourous. the whole idea of the jazz age is so luxurious sounding. and who can get past fringing, sequins, feathers, lots and lots of sparkle and purely frivolous theatre?
