this has so many childhood memories for me. nowadays there is so much more technology that can probably do much more amazing and fascinating things, but for me watching the crystal garden grow was pure magic. embarrassingly enough i even remember trying to eat some of the trees because they looked like fairy floss. it definitely did not taste like fairy floss, and i'm pretty sure it is not recommended! i haven't seen these around much lately though i have a sudden pang to go and buy one. the most disappointing moment is when the crystals inevitably become too heavy and begin to fall. do yourselves a favour, take some time out of your day to grow a magic garden so you can regain some purely innocent delight and remember a time when magic meant growing crystal flowers and snow on paper trees.
